Patient must be a resident of Sullivan, Hawkins or Scott county.
A member of the patient's immediate household must be working on a regular schedule.
For medical services, the patient must not have any exisiting medical insurance (TennCare, Medicaid, etc).
For dental services, the patient must not have any dental insurance (patients with medical insurance such as TennCare can be seen in dental only).
A fee is assigned for each service performed that is typically below what the patient would pay in a doctor's or dentists' office. Then the patient pays a percentage of this fee based on their income, with a minimum of $5.
Prescriptions, lab work, and tests are significantly discounted. Most referrals to specialists will be on the same sliding fee scale as at the clinic.

Services provided at FRIENDS IN NEED are by appointment only and are provided for a discount off the normal fees for these services, based on the sliding fee scale percentage for the patient”
